To equip foster parents to teach a biblical worldview to children in their care, the project director facilitated a three-part workshop on Friday, June 24, 2011 as part of the Alabama Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries' annual training conference for foster parents. In order to accomplish the goals of this project, the project director researched the topic of leadership and identified various skills of servant leadership. From the skills identified, the director identified two and researched them further: 'the character of a servant leader' and 'the vision of a servant leader.' The project consisted of a leadership workshop made up of five one-hour sessions given over a perios of Friday evening through Saturday morning. The first session was an introduction to servant leadership. In sessions two and three, about the character of a servant leader, the focus was on the skills of humility, values, and integrity. For the first stage of this project, the project director explored strategy planning and assimilation to increase his knowledge and skills in the respective fields of study. In the second stage, the project director assembled a planning team, devised the planning process, and then led the team to develop an assimilation strategy. Then, the director enlisted a group of leaders to equip in an assimilation ministry in Central baptist Church. last, the project director led the sessions as team members were equipped in an assimilation ministry and recognized the need for an intentional assimilation process in Central Baptist Church.
