Training included six instructional sessions that lasted one and a half hours each. The sessions were taught from the text of Matt. 4:18-20, 1 Cor. 12:4-6, 2 Tim. 2:1-7, Eph. 4:29-32, John 15:5-8, and Matt. 9:16-17. The sessions were presented in one-week intervals with assignments to personally apply the content between sessions. The project director researched resources in the field of volunteer supervision, developed an annotated bibliography and a teaching standard with the help of experts in the field of Christian education, and, ultimately, created a training curriculum that addressed needs discovered in a survey of the church's volunteers and staff. Then, the director enlisted a group of leaders to equip in an assimilation ministry in Central baptist Church. last, the project director led the sessions as team members were equipped in an assimilation ministry and recognized the need for an intentional assimilation process in Central Baptist Church.
