It is a method for doing the EMR with a small group for a period of six weeks, with emphasis on a biblical and theological understanding of Christian stewardship.  The intention is to provide more depth and involvement in the mission of the congregation, resulting in increased member participation and support.  A pilot test was conducted at Grace Lutheran Church (Wyndmoor, PA), resulting in significant increases in pledges of time, abilities and resources. It is developed around Jesus' eschatological announcement of the kingdom of God which calls the Church into being, determines its mission, and summons forth its discipleship. There are four major themes: discipleship as encounter with the Good News; discipleship as celebration; discipleship as life in community; and discipleship as the radical change making Christ the center of one's life.
