To this end the project prepares and delivers sermons from seven Psalms, taking into account major types of Psalms, their poetic features, and guidelines for intepreting and preaching them from the works of Elizabeth Achtemeier, William H Bellinger, Jr, Thomas G Long, and Leland Ryken. The project examines the form and function of these stories and evolves sermon strategies sensitive to the literary characteristics of the form, in order to develop, present, and evaluate five sermons from selected pronouncement stories.
