Accompanying experiences, feelings, and reactions are described and related to the general literature and theory of grief.  Previous research, interviews, and life experiences, affirm that bereaved men have been expected to 'be strong' and to be concerned for others more than themselves. Their styles of griefwork indicate that they prefer to act rather than to talk or express feelings. Patients from Florida Hospital Family Health Center completed the Religiosity Coping Index.
