Women clergy are more likely to address the issue because of specialized training in graduate courses, conferences, workshops, or seminars on domestic violence. Participants in 12-step programs register a score significantly higher statistically on representations of God as Loving than do those in Rational Recovery. Participants in Rational Recovery and other nonspiritual groups tend to score significantly higher on representations of God as Wrathful.
