Research was accomplished to discover children's basic developmental needs and parenting skills necessary to meet the needs.  A six-week parent training seminar was attended by seven parents.  Pre- and posttests were administered to parents and their children, with a time-lapse evaluation also given to parents. The author assisted the selected group in discovering and developing identity as persons. Activities included sermons, seminars, and discussion concerning the awareness of self-esteem. Evaluation involved a pretest/posttest questionnaire, critical observation, and several interviews by the author. Program design resources included materials from secular supervision, seminary field education, and clinical pastoral education programs.  Evaluation materials included a job satisfaction questionnaire administered as a pretest and posttest, and an intern evaluation of supervision questionnaire. The study group developed and the church approved a statement of church purpose with goals and objectives for 1990.
