She challenges male and female clergy to work in partnership to reframe biblical and church tradition to see women's power in a positive light. A series of Lenten sermons addressed to a local congregation is the mechanism by which specific issues of codependency are juxtaposed with frequently mis-quoted biblical texts.  For example, does 'turn the other cheek' demand that an abused spouse is to stay in her marriage, regardless of beatings?  These and other similar concerns are addressed.
