He also researched existing disciple-making strategies to develop an understanding of the primary components necessary for a disciple-making strategy. The project director facilitated the development of a disciple-making strategy with a group of selected church leaders. The poject director enlisted volunteers who expressed a desire to lead short-term mission projects to participate in the training. The participants developed a proposed short-term mission project which will take place in the next two years based on the content of the training. Dr. Mike Edens and an international missionary evaluated the validity of the research. Dr. Sonia Carrington provided expert advice and a critique of the curriculum and the project director's increased knowledge of curriculum design. Assisting in building happy marriages and developing effective communication skills were the goals of this project.  The project methodology included interviews, lectures, group discussions, and questionnaires on financial management, sex, individual differences, and marital strengths and weaknesses. This occurred during the seven-week project with nine couples.  Examination of post evaulation data indicates goals were reached.
