This project was based on the premise that theology is critically important in dealing with life's problems and in dealing with the universality of death. The project consisted of twenty-eight sermons preached over six months. The author's hope was that by hearing these sermons, his parishioners would have a deeper appreciation of the Nicene Creed. Insights from these studies guided the Web Site Team and minister as they designed the web site. This project examines a successful chaplaincy training program at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, which educated 40 community volunteers in a 12-week course over a three-year period. These trained volunteers enabled the hospital to continue providing 24-hour pastoral care. It argues that Christian community is not the effect of faith in God, but is the manifestation of that faith.  The author makes the case for a relational faith.  Theology rather than psychology or sociology is the basis for understanding congregational life.  A planning group assessed the needs of this congregation.  A set of proposals was generated.  They included retreats, meals, a photo directory, etc.  A questionnaire was used for evaluation.
