This project demonstrates that it is possible to facilitate the process and establish a mission policy.  The mission policy produced in this process is written not by academically prepared missiologists, but a local congregation and its leadership. The board of elders and the mission policy task force evaluated the entire process and the results of these surveys are reported. The project examines the basic issues involved in contextualization and offers a defense for the procedure used. Traditional patterns of leadership among Alaskan natives as found in the ethnographic literature is described.
