The project researched and utilized intentional interim and conflict resolution methodologies.  It included interviews with most members of the congregation, seminar training, and a weekend planning retreat. Issues of change and power were encountered.  Original research was conducted into conflict resolution styles in the biblical narratives.  The narrative of the project was written up in modified case study format. The two factors that harness conflict's catalytic potential and avert conflict's destructive power are mechanisms for directing conflict toward positive outcomes and effective mediators. The research base was constructed around the writer's experience as a mediator and his ongoing study in the field.
