This is accomplished through a series of surveys that look at spiritual needs, feelings about worship, and suggestions from pastors.  An examination of the historical, sociological, and theological perspectives show that ours is an aging society and there are few resources and aids to meet the seniors' spiritual needs. It is based upon the churches alive growing by discipleship concept.  The project also presents a theological defense of the gospel. Two small groups' three outreaches into the community are presented and evaluated.  Various tools for such are included in the appendices.  The conclusions show that the outreaches may not result in many decisions for Christ initially. The main proposition is that, because the key element in worship is response to God, and his revelation, and because preaching seeks to expound God's revelation for his people, the natural order is for preaching to come early in a worship service, to be followed by significant worship response time.  Evaluation was made of the current practice of preaching in worship in the congregation served by the project writer, and, by use of a survey in other churches in Canada. Principles were developed for integrating preaching and worship more effectively. The project researched and utilized intentional interim and conflict resolution methodologies.  It included interviews with most members of the congregation, seminar training, and a weekend planning retreat. Issues of change and power were encountered.  Original research was conducted into conflict resolution styles in the biblical narratives.  The narrative of the project was written up in modified case study format.
