The project report presents an overview of the manual and its relationship to Presbyterian reformed Ministries International. The project manual (appendix 1) has three parts. The first discusses worship renewal generally and presents a model for renewing corporate worship. The second presents the biblical and theological foundations for the model and considers many practical issues involved in renewing corporate worship. The third part of the manual presents a process for beginning the renewal of corporate worship. This matrix assists the preacher in articulating the biblical text's significance in a way that roots the church's mission, affirms core values, builds organizational culture, and envisions the future. The validity of the matrix was established at Life Bible Fellowship Church by obtaining a baseline of leadership ownership, followed by a six month preaching program utilizing the matrix. Hebrews"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project attempts to answer the question: what does a new believer need to get started right in their walk with the Lord. The author examines the biblical text for clues, and looks closely at what groups who specialize in evangelism and discipleship use in their endeavors. The majority of groups, such as Campus Crusade for Christ, the Navigators, Billy Graham's organizations, and others, use follow-up material that focuses primarily on the spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study, church involvement, and stewardship. Yet the Scriptures indicate that the place to begin is with the foundational teachings referred to in Hebrews 6:1-2. Those basic teachings include--the doctrine of Christ, repentance from dead works, faith toward God, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. It is the conviction of the author that to achieve biblical results we should be following the biblical guidelines when working with new believers. That idea is both developed and supported in this paper. This paper first develops a theology of petitionary prayer, especially the significance of praying according to the will of God. This theology of petitionary prayer is then applied to the ministry of preaching, using Paul's letters to Timothy as foundational teaching concerning the will of God in relation to preaching. An argument is made for the connection between cultivating one's worldview and the ability to interact with those in the postmodern world. Careful study is made of the characteristics of postmodernism, along with a survey of about two dozen Campus Crusade staff in Germany--measuring their present effectiveness in evangelism. A three-day conference introduced the staff to this worldview. The research has shown that the FGBC no longer practices historical Brethren nonresistance but instead has adopted a noncombatant participation to
