This research centered on the task of enhancing a specific seminar in French-speaking, Sub-Saharan Africa through non-formal methods. The research design uses content analysis, and incorporates interviews, questionnaires, as well as notes and observations of three generations of seminars to generate methods of instructing. These methods integrate models of orality, the traditional way that people in Africa learn, general adult education, and the teachings of Jesus. This project reviewed the biblical and Islamic theology of dreams and the modernistic tendency to delegate dreams to fantasy. The author did interviews in an open access setting with Muslims, both current and converted, purported to have had dreams that revealed spiritual truth. The interviews revealed that Diaspora Muslims were indeed having dreams in which Jesus appeared. The research identified propitious conditions for such dreams and common characteristics of biblical dreams. They have a compelling vision for the last days and the need for night and day prayer. The project sought to identify IHOP's biblical values and practicies, separate them from their culturally charismatic setting and successfully present them to a mixed group of charismatic and non-charismatic intercessors, evaluating their responses to the presented material. Relevant history is traced from the first through the twenty-first centuries. Core principles are presented such as the ultimate authorities, principles of interpretation, communication, contextualization, dialogue, diapraxis, and diplomacy. A Lutheran communicative contextualization process is introduced and emphasizes quad-cultural communication. The biblical basis for strategic planning, involvement of all God's people, and eight approaches in the literature is reviewed. The perspective of outsiders is assessed and interviews with Muslims provide insider perspectives. The final Sumbi CBS was based on research of sixteen different CBS sets, expat and national experts' input, the author's worldview study and the author's field test with thirteen national church planters. Key CPM principles implemented through CBS include sowing the Word abundantly, finding a Person of Peace, leading an oikos to Christ, forming House Churches, and equipping lay leaders. After reviewing the history of Jewish missions in the United States, the lives of King David and the Apostle Paul were studies. Relevant secular literature on value-based leadership was then reviewed. The Delphi method was used to poll twenty of the leaders in the field of Jewish evangelism and then five in-depth interviews. With an examination of existing literature the report began with a historical, theological, anthropological, and missiological prolegomena. The actual project consisted of forty-five in-depth interviews with three generations of Saxons from Kitchener-Waterloo and Aylmer, Ontario. The key conclusion of the research was that the role of the church has substantially deteriorated among all generations of Saxons. When older Saxons insisted on speaking German in club and church, they excluded their younger generation from participation and leadership. Utilizing a qualitative research design twelve missionaries were interviewed from different demographic groups. Security concerns, desire for a close relationship, and identity issues are discussed as main sources of stress for single missionaries. The findings indicate that pastoral care in the form of short-term visiting ministry is urgently needed, since they usually have no partner with whom to discuss their stressors and thus dangerously ignore their stressors due to their training and endurance.
