Programs expressing hospitality are reflected upon alongside the teaching of Jesus, the life of the early church, the traditions and experience of the Uniting Church in Australia and the socio-cultural context of the study, in order to develop a 'pilot project' model of Christian hospitality as an alternative to prevailing ministry/mission models. The study examines the theology and praxis of evangelism, social and community welfare, and the advocacy and practice of social justice of three participating urban mission organizations and three urban church communities.
