The author explored how reclaiming the model of prayer found in the Psalms and its undergirding theology may offer a healthier model of prayer. Lectio Divina was introduced as a vehicle to encourage retreat participants to write their own poem/prayers. The method of research is the result of local and conference-wide teaching opportunities, as well as implementing dance and drama ministries on the Preston-Hurlock charge. The evaluation consists of interviews and surveys of participants and congregations.
