The inferior role of women in our history and culture plays into the research of this thesis.  The scope of study includes research into relevant biblical, theological, spiritual and psychological information which pertains to homosexuality with a particular concentration on lesbian sexuality and spirituality.  A questionnaire and study guide developed from a Women's Spiritualilty group provides a feminist model for ministry. Effective team ministry requires methods for equipping, building and involving teams.  This project outlines a biblical-theological perspective, surveys literature, describes lay ministry education programs and details the development of a team of lay ministers within a congregation. The dissertation analyzes the five passages of the New Testament on the subject, reflects on centuries of Catholic practice and tradition, states current church law, presents the damage of folklore about divorce and remarriage, and describes support groups.
