The biblical concept, based on the word, 'oikonomia,' traces God's plan of stewardship from creation to living-out Jesus' teachings. Historical and informational STVIM material was combined with the personal experience of the author in leading STVIM teams. The material was evaluated by 55 persons related to STVIM. Korean scholars to date follow an old tradition which derives 'diakonos' from 'dia' (through) and 'konis' (dust.)  But this derivation is a case of confusion of 'diakonio' (pulvere, to in the dust) with 'diakoneo' (to serve.)  The author exegetes Acts 6 discussing the Grecian Jews, the Hebrews, and the Samaritans. It examined the biblical terms for power and correlated these with the organizational perspectives on power.  The project design used 'The Power Management Survey' to compare perceptions.  The pastor felt motivated primarily by affiliation and friendship.  The laity felt the pastor was motivated primarily by socialized power.  A democratic leadership style was present. A study is made of the place of financial stewardship in the Old and New Testaments.  Theological study looks at stewardship in Reformed theology.  The study includes a look at how worship and financial stewardship are linked.  A survey was made of 32 Presbyterian churches, each with 2000 members or more.  Active laity and clergy attitudes and practices were uncovered.  Campaign practices were surveyed. Perception and involvement patterns are examined when 1) a biblical-historical and allonomous setting (rule by others - divine and corporate); 2) a sociological-autonomous setting (rules self-imposed - empirical and congregant); and 3) a 'strong to weak' perceptual scale are administered to participants from two mainline Protestant congregations with allonomous and autonomous polity structures respectively.
