This project depicts the kinds of stress this type of caregiver has to endure.  How is a nurse affected by the stress, and how does it affect her religious practices and beliefs?  The project finds that: 1) the work forces a nurse to evaluate her religious practices of the past, to determine their relevance for the present and to act accordingly.  A weak bond snaps.  A strong one strengthens. The design of learning experiences begins with an interview to elicit expectations and a period of guided individual learning with a sponsor.  Then, group meetings explore faith and Christian living.  Daily Bible readings expand each meeting theme during the week.  Participants expressed six types of expectations which motivated their learnings, and their growth is correlated to Fowler's faith development theory.
