It is a ministry with terminal patients that seeks to provide spiritual support for the whole person in order that he/she might live a comfortable, meaningful, and related experience for the remainder of life.  Included in this report is a comparison of patients receiving hopsice care as against those receiving traditional care. Five illustrations of crisis ministry, including providing support to help the individuals mobilize their coping resources, share their emotional load, provide physical assistance in terms of money, skills and/or cognitive guidance are shared. In addition, institutionalized care is discussed and the development of a ministry to and with the residents and staff is explored.
