These teams recover the rightful work of the laity and develop a continuous quality model of planning and implementing worship. Participants come to the training with an understanding that worship is not the sole domain of 'professionals' and depart with a desire to lead in reclaiming the 'work of the people.' A team of laity and clergy studied worship together.  They also surveyed their congregation regarding religious roots, beliefs and expectations about worship.  The team encouraged congregational participation in and response to liturgical renewal. They wrote collects and examined, tested and edited liturgies of the United Church of Christ and other Reformed communions. This interest led to the development and implementation of a specific nine month adaptation of the catechumenal process to the life of the Church of the Transfiguration (Derry, NH). This process was used in three consecutive years, evaluated after each year and modified accordingly.
