The workbook was commissioned by the Tishomingo Baptist Association, in cooperation with the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board and the Southern Baptist Convention. It was made available to pastors in the Tishomingo Association and is available to any pastor seeking recovery assistance. I researched the resources then available for wounded ministers. I enhanced my knowledge of terminated or forced-to-resign ministers and my skills in producing effective lesson plans for ministers seeking to recover from ministry-related wounds and re-enter fruitful ministry.\r\n\r\nI began by researching the forced resignations of pastors and the field of post-termination pastoral care. I produced an annotated bibliography and a report describing best practices for restoring terminated pastors. Multiple forms of demographic data were considered in order to identify the age ranges, socio-economic status, and behaviors that contribute to students becoming at-risk. Interviews with local and state agencies along with local school officials were conducted to ascertain what forms of assistance are available to students and if any proactive interventions are in place to prevent students from slipping into the at-risk category. Interviews with local officials will also be conducted in defining the ministry context of Hope Chapel. The director will interview leaders from several churches comparable to Hope Chapel to identify effective disciple-making practices. The project director will work with a project team of six individuals from Hope Chapel to develop a disciple-making strategy. The project team will assist the project director in exploring the demographics and data in and around Jonesboro-Hodge, in identifying disciple-making models of churches with similar characteristics as Hope Chapel, and developing a disciple-making strategy for Hope Chapel. He explored strategy development and evangelism. The long-range planning committee developed the evangelistic strategy through a series of development sessions.
