The project employed four key groups including a Rediscovering Your Spiritual Gifts class, Search Groups in preparation for a 'Weekend of Discovery,' a 'Weekend of Discovery' renewal program, and a Disciple Bible Study.  The project conducted interviews with 34 church members using 21 questions. By minimizing the ministry of the laity, it has lost contact with those outside of its influence.  Only with a unified ministry of an emancipated laity and an empowering clergy can the urban church faithfully participate in the transformation of society.  This theory was tested with a congregational workbook.
