However, it soon became apparent that all the adults (men and women alike) would benefit from the implementation of a simple, concrete spiritual growth model. This led to the development of the five core values of the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene: devotions, public worship, discipleship, service and witness.  The development and implementation of this particular project was based upon scripture, informed by the Wesleyan-Holiness faith tradition and in response to the needs of 21st-century persons. The author's research led to an exploration of the historical background and circumstances that led the movement to embrace the wealthy. Pastoral leadership plays a very important role for the transformational paradigm shift to be brought forth within the local church.
