Site visits were made to four nationally recognized United Methodist urban ministries that engage in partnered ministry initiatives.  Insights gained from these visits were applied to the development and implementation of an asset based partnered ministry model for the United Methodist Church Union. She formed a study group, stressed the importance of congregational fellowship, and taught about spiritual gifts. The group remained open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, took an inventory, and sought to use their gifts in the community. The class completed an evaluation and the author developed a gifts guide.
