Section one provides a theology of missions that opens the Christian to encounter with persons of other faiths without compromising the role of Christ as savior.  Section two presents a detailed outline of the social ethic of Advaita Vedanta, in terms of historical development, theology and scripture.  Section three presents the actual project, an encounter between a group of Indian Christians and Indian Hindus, all of whom are engaged in health or population issues professionally. One must seek to understand the historical and psychosocial dimensions of religious involvement as well.  The method of study for the thesis was the psychosocial, historical, and doctrinal comparison of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Unification Church, and Protestant evangelicals.
