The project was an equipping model. The project director researched various resources on orphans and orphan ministry and developed a workshop curriculum. He utilized expert evaluators to advise and evaluate research, curriculum development, and personal growth. The project director personally selected members and led them in a total of six equipping sessions. Members learned the biblical principles related to orphan ministry and were equipped in practical ways to minister to orphans. The project director trained the participants during four instructional sessions on a Saturday. The project director also distributed additional materials for personal application. The first session of the workshop included instructing the selected members on the reason for a greeter ministry. The project director discussed biblical foundations and resources for a greeter ministry. Session two of the workshop focused on the responsibilities of the selected members for an effective greeter ministry. In the third session of the workshop, the group evaluated the comments from a 'secret worshipper' and developed a plan to enhance a guest's experience. Role-playing was utilized in the third session for the purpose of training the group.
