Research from an annotated bibliography provided the resources for development of curriculum. The project director presented the curriculum in five training sessions at a Friday-Sunday workshop. The individuals who completed this training received information on worship styles and doctrinal elements of worship and were taught technical and practical skills to plan and conduct weekly contemporary, seeker friendly worship services. The research utilized both secular and church leadership materials and focused on certain leadership elements including the call of the leader, the character of the leader, and the competencies of the leader.  The components of this project include: a research paper on leadership essentials, a workbook for effective leadership in the church, and an accompanying leader's guide for that workbook.
