This project examined the initiation tradition of the two tribes to identify elements that the church could use to make the Christian faith more meaningful to them. The author used seminars and multiple intervention tools with selected members of the tribes. What can the General Board of Global Missions of the United Methodist Church do to become more pragmatic and faithful to the call? The study utilized biblical and literary research. An African reading of Exodus was explored and engaged.
