In addition, the latter half of this thesis contains details regarding New Family Project, the six-week project regarding welcoming newcomers and their settlement. The purpose of this project was to restore the essence of the church and to foster newcomers on the basis of the theologies of Hospitality and Class Meeting in Methodism. The author aggregated the scattered newcomer-ministries into one (which is Majung Sokhoe), and he entrusted all the ministries of welcoming, guiding, and nurturing newcomers to Majung Sokhoe. Christian spirituality is an intimate encounter with God, the source of change and maturity as a gift of God 's grace. Spiritual formation is a lifelong process, and adolescence is a valuable time to prepare for the spiritual formation. In Korean society, however, youths are suffering from spiritual and psychological poverty due to the college entrance exam-centered educational system and losing the opportunity of spiritual formation. The author researched the result using surveys before and after studying Hanukkah Bible Study. The results were that the Hanukkah Bible Study 101 and 201 influenced a positive effect in participants' faith and their church life, as well as improvement in the church's ministry. Many of the members are experiencing the challenges of retirement and aging, especially the challenge of facing the repercussions of life choices.  They look to the pastor and the church to minister to their felt needs. In light of the goal to transform them from passive church members to active Christians, the pastor asked the following questions:  How do Korean Christians experience aging and filter the experience of aging through their Korean culture?  Can the pastor start a ministry with senior adults in the congregation that will serve as a model for older adult ministry in the Korean United Methodist churches of the greater Philadelphia area?  The author created a church academy for older adult members where they could be transormed from passive members to active Christians through a series of classes.  He conducted a survey of older adults in the Bensalem Church and the members of the Korean Senior Citizen Association of Greater Philadelphia.  He developed a program for the Academy, and the participants were surveyed at the conclusion of the program. They have been tamed in the patriarchal social system for so many years that they now support this value system and reject women's independence, self-identities, and public leadership.  The author set up a Bible study program to meet the special goal of helping the women of the Christ Central United Methodist Church to understand their own lives and situations. This Bible study program is designed to be an extension and a continuation of the monthly gathering of the Women's Mission Group (YeoSunkoWhoe: United Methodist Women).  five sessions will be carried out over the period of five months. Each session comprises a Bible study, discussion, report, and dinner. The Bible study is focused on the lives of the five women in the Bible. The participants will have opportunities to observe the lives of these women in the Bible and reflect their stories on the participant's own lives.
