The three-year research focuses on the restarting experience of the Wellfleet United Methodist Church in Massachusetts, which employed strategies from both experiences, the planting of new churches and the turning around of troubled congregations.  The research describes the good, the bad, and the ugly of changing course in people's spiritual journeys and congregational lives.
