The cohort will address religious culture shifts from majority Anglo to a more ethnically diverse one in the Metro District, Western North Carolina Conference, The United Methodist Church. Guder) The author developed a worship series, a congregational Bible study, and a Leadership Development Seminar. This work engages the Great Commission, the Great Commandment, the early church, and John Wesley's 'The Character of a Methodist.' The author explored the background of the sweeping changes that the Church faces in the twenty-first century, visited congregations of various sizes and locations to investigate how the average parishioner understands discipleship, and undertook the work of developing a parish covenant as a way of strengthening community and forming disciples for the work of mission. Parish surveys, semi-structured interviews and statistical analysis were employed.
