The developed training curriculum included the following methods: didactic seminars, personal interviews, group discussions, and group-led worship services.  The teaching curriculum included the following topics: the history of Baptist worship; the influence of historical eras, sociological groups, personal interests, personality type, and communication skills upon worship style. Historical, descriptive, and experimental research methodologies were used with the selected group. The purpose of this project was to create a greater awareness of biblically based deacon ministry on the part of the congregation and to equip the deacons to become servant-ministers.  Two methods of research were employed: the experimental method and the descriptive method. With the combination of these two methodologies, the project was successfully accomplished.
