The object of the project was to meet the course objectives being achieved in face-to-face instruction. The course was taught in the fall of 2001. Student achievement of the objectives was measured through course assignments, as well as a pre- and post-test of student confidence and competence for youth ministry. Students in the online version of the course achieved the course objectives but exhibited a higher non-completion rate. Research explored population statistics, theological foundations, and care giving issues.  A protocol was created for congregational interviews to guide the interaction and provide useful information for effective partnerships to grow.  These interviews brought to the surface both issues in senior care ministry and the desire for partnership efforts potentially to ensue.
