This evaluation should come from knowledge of South African culture, the view of marriage presented by Scripture, and the experiences of women within polygamous marriages.  The author's interviews with women reveal a great deal of pain and anger over being in such marriages. Employing a process model of theological reflection, the project identifies three foundations for the campus minister-educator's articulated role: (1) the promoting of critical skills, (2) the development and sustaining of community, and (3) the promoting of imagination.
