It exposes a church that focuses on women and children and suggests addressing men's needs, especially in their work and family relationships, in a more masculine context. It identified social and personal reasons for addiction, and by a series of interviews and questionnaires with present and past members of the program, with mission staff, volunteers in churches and other recovery programs, it determined that the steps did lead to the outcomes, but that they needed to reflect better progression, relapse prevention, and emotional growth. First, the author conducted a telephone survey of forty of two hundred men who responded to an earlier evangelistic proclamation. he then produced and presented four lessons on follow-up which were evaluated by seven members of the ministry team.
