In the research project nine consultant interventions were developed and then evaluated by clergy and laity.  The researcher concludes that consultants can express their ecclesiological position to client congregations as long as this nurtures the consulting relationship.  He proposes that congregational support for baptismal ministry can be ethically influenced through personal self-disclosure by the consultant and a mutual exploration of ecclesiology. Qualitative, feminist methodology was used to design a process which included storytelling, theological reflection and social analysis.  Participating in the research were women from Roman Catholic and Protestant denominations.
