Those spiritual concerns may be considered to be fourfold: fear of God's punishment, reassurance of God's acceptance, reassurance of salvation, support in faith to deal with a life-threatening illness.  The methodology of this project is centered on an approach to discovering data through the use of a survey instrument. Research has shown that older adults are helped by someone who asks questions about the past.  Loneliness and depression are common symptoms of older adults.  Without a feeling that life has had meaning in the past it is easy to lose identity and integrity.  Life review helps maintain a person's integrity, identity, and self-worth.  It provides a legacy to the younger generation.  It can help a person cope with loss, grief, and depression.
