Through the use of questionnaires, three group meetings in each town, and literature research it develops seven guidelines. The author reviewed pertinent literature -- sociological, psychological and theological -- and used questionnaires and interviews in her research.  The main questions addressed the clergywomen's ages, the touching in their families of origin and their use of touch in ministry. Each woman reported instances of therapeutic and non-therapeutic touching and the response of the parishioner-patient-client as well as their own responses to these instances. Southern New England Conference"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project is an investigation into some of the factors involved in the decision to leave the parish ministry by some members of the Southern New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.  The study was limited to those who had spent a minimum of five years in the parish after becoming ordained.  An attempt was made to look at roles, family dynamics, and relationships with the system of the denomination.  All subjects were mailed questionnaires, and a portion of the subjects were interviewed.
