Ten such persons participate in the project. Six of them indicate that their critical images influence formation of their images of God, based on the similarity of structural elements in both images. Alcoholism is described as 'a chronic illness, psychic or psychosomatic, which manifests itself as a disorder of behavior,' and 'that exceeds customary dietary use of compliance with social customs of the community and that interferes with the drinker's health, or the social or economic functioning.'  it is America's number four health problem, but Black America's number one health and social problem. In the chapter 'From the Roots to the Vines,' the project analyzes the use of alcohol in pre-colonial Africa as a convivial beverage for celebration and how the Triangle Trade became 'a geometrical maze' for Blacks with slavery, alcohol, and profits as partners.
