The  project director enlisted the participation of twenty two adults from the congregation. The participants were then taught using a curriculum on henneneutic methodology written by the project director. The equipping class consisted of eight sessions taught on consecutive Monday evenings and focused on the essential methods of the observation, interpretation and application of Scripture. During phase three the Project Director wrote the mobilization strategy for Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. The project director researched biblical apologetics and developed a curriculum that provided a summary of important biblical content with apologetic evidences that support the Bible. The project director included apologetic evidences that instilled confidence in the participants to refute falsehoods misunderstandings about Scripture. An apologetic expert reviewed the research for the project and a curriculum expert provided recommendations for the development of the curriculum. First, the project examines issues faced by national Guard Chemical soldiers with regard to family reintegration. Second, the project examines Army training doctrine in order to address the reintegration issues. The end goal of the project was to develop a marriage training program that takes place during a retreat format. The retreat would include many of the elements discovered during the research phase.
