This project develops a model for religious education based on the basic Christian community.  Eleven intergenerational communities in a suburban parish are given an inductive curriculum that enables them to share faith within a setting that supports faith-filled living. Leadership training and liturgical and social celebrations are an integral part of the process. The discussion focuses on the development of the concept and its later implementation in a Roman Catholic parish. It demonstrates the unique character of collaborative ministry. The process of building collaborative ministry in an archaic parish in a conservative, rural, working-class suburb is outlined. Theological foundations, ecclesiastical and canonical concerns are carefully addressed. What was borne out by previous research held true for this project: a television ministry doesn't increase church membership.  However, our research has demonstrated that people do watch religious programming, and with those who have participated in this ministry, we have forged informal links of church.
