The emphasis of the study is two-fold: intellectual and experiential. The thesis of this study is that Generation X's self-understanding as marginalized and the resultant postmodern questions of their generation are addressed most clearly by the practice of faith within a local faith community.  The practice of faith demonstrated by Latin American liberation theology and North American feminist theology in worship, education and administration can provide a model for local church practice.
