The Scripture study wrestles with the topic of authority that God has vested in His servants who are appointed to leadership in the church and also whether the discipline carried out in the early church is applicable to today's setting.  The restorative nature of discipline is explored in the section dealing with theology of ministry. The thesis is that short-term missions can challenge a person's worldview, increase prayer life, and provide an overall commitment to the Great Commission.
