In the first phase, the project director administrated a survey to former summer staff and incoming staff.  From the gathered data, he developed a spiritual formation profile.  IN phase two, the project director researched the area of spiritual formation to discover core practices.  He then compiled a report of best practices for spiriutal formation.  The project director began phase three by constructing a strategy deelopment plan.  Then he assembled a strategy team.  Utilizing the profile data and best practice report, the strategy team developed a spiritula formation strategy for summer staff. The professional goals of this project were to increase the project director's knowledge of persecution and to increase his skill in developing a training resource. The project director researched the fields of new member assimilation and strategy development along with the biblical basis of church membership. After the research segment the project director led Eastwood Baptist Church to create a New Member Orientation Committee to assist in developing a new member orientation strategy. The project director trained the New Member Orientation Committee to understand the basics of new member orientation and to develop a strategy to improve assimilation. The project director researched worldview and its impact on mission strategy. He further researched orality and orality-based mission strategies. He devised an equipping workshop to introduce a group of church members to the concepts of worldview and orality, and to Bible storying as a culturally appropriate orality-based mission strategy for developing house church leaders among the internally displaced people of Colombia. The project utilized several evaluative measures, including an expert-evaluated annotated bibliography, and expert critique of the lesson plans, pre- and post-workshop questionnaires, and a workshop evaluation form. The project director increased his knowledge of worldview and its implications for mission strategy. He also increased his understanding of orality and of Bible storying as a contextually-appropriate orality-based missions methodology. The communities of Alabaster have experienced significant growth in population over the past ten years. The project manager identified a need for his church to determine the best strategies for reaching residents who are not Christians and are not involved in a local church. Demographic studies and feedback from local residents were utilized to determine the impact of this project on the community.
