The director wrote daily devotions for the participants and paired them in strength teams to offer encouragement. The course ended with an overnight retreat. A strategic planning team, consisting of lay members, was invited to participate in the assimilation strategy process.  The project director leveraged strategic principles as well as assimilation principles to lead the team in the development of the strategy, in order to enable members at NABC to be more intentional with assimilation efforts. Because this project followed the skill enhancement model, the project director engaged in both research and ministry.  The project director established a standard of research which was reviewed by an expert in the field of expository preaching.  The research of expository preaching was followed by the preparation of a series of sermons based on the model of expository preaching.  The project director then delivered these sermons to the congregation of Berean Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
