Subsequently, a curriculum and appropriate training sessions were developed for equipping the professional staff in effective teamwork. The training strategy includes three phases. The first phase assessed the current level of team building skills. the second phase equipped in team building skills. The project exposed pastors and laypeople to the basic concepts of strategy planning skills helping them understand the value of strategy in their churches.  The project consisted of three stages.  The project director researched the area of strategy planning skills in the first stage.  In the second stage, the director developed the lesson plans for the workshop to equip the leaders in basic strategy planning skills. The curriculum design consisted of eight one-hour sessions.  The selected group of leaders was twelve in number and met on Sunday afternoons at the New Prospect Baptist Church.  The sessions addressed the following issues: conflict by definition, identifying the levels of conflict, understanding the dangers of conflict, conflict management styles, appropriate conflict management skills, and reconciliation.  The project goals included researching the field of conflict management, designing a workshop to equip selected leaders with conflict management skills, and equipping selected leaders with conflict management skills.
