The first step in the process of equipping selected members of FBCT was conducting personal research in the field of orphan-care ministry.  The research involved exploring ministries in other churches and orphan-care ministries and insight from books which are orphan-care based.  Further research included exploring curriculum from orphan-care agencies and interviewing individuals who have personal experience with caring for orphans. The project director developed an equipping seminar and faciliated the presentation of the seminar with selected individuals from FBCT to equip them for orphan-care ministry. Various information gathering tools were used to determine the multicultural challenges of the convention and information gathered provided the basis for which the multicultural ministry strategy was developed.
