Circles, a program of Move the Mountain, initiates changes in the community that result in eliminating barriers to economic stability. The Circles model partners families in poverty with United Methodist church members so they can work together to end poverty. This project compares the socio-economic condition of the families in poverty prior to enrollment and six months later. The purpose of this project is to augment the current new disciples adult class and implements a module for youth explaining their choice to give their life to Christ in an age appropriate manner. Students interviewed stated that they enjoyed and learned a lot by attending this class. parents reported they were thankful for this class. The method used by the author was a study of Scripture, historical materials, recent scientific research, secular theory, Christian theology and professional applications. The information was synthesized and used to develop projects in his congregation. These were tested through survey and anecdotal reflection.
